Robin Michelle is a multidisciplinary professional whose career blends a deep commitment to counseling, fine arts, and community leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, specializing in marriage, family, and child therapy with an emphasis in grief and loss, medical illness, and suicide.
For more than 15 years, she practiced as a professional counselor, operating her own private practice in Denver, Colorado, where she supported individuals and families through significant life transitions and emotional challenges. Alongside her counseling work, she has spent the past 20 years as a professional artist, creating original works, custom commissions, and murals, as well as leading art workshops for diverse groups.
Over the last four years, she has brought her artistic expertise into public education as an art teacher in rural Texas. During her tenure, she has revitalized the district’s visual arts program—establishing a chapter of the National Art Honor Society, leading students to compete in local and regional competitions such as VASE, and guiding the district’s first students to advance to State VASE. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom; she has contributed her voice and expertise on multiple committees, including District Safety, Bond Planning, ILT, and PBIS. She currently serves as the High School Fine Arts Chair and the District Visual Arts Lead.
A dedicated advocate for the arts, she is an active member of her local art guild, serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Youth Symphony of Denton, and was selected as a Leadership Scholar with the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA). In this role, she has presented numerous workshops at the annual TAEA conference. Most recently, she was appointed and inducted into the TAEA Council at Large as the Member Art Show Chair.
Originally from Lancaster, Texas, she has lived in Fort Worth, Denver, Germany, Houston, and now North Texas, where she resides on her family’s historic ranch, owned by her family since 1854. She is the owner and operator of the ranch.
